The Gifts of Magi

Epiphany Sunday is when we look at the Magi and the gifts they gave to a new born Savior. These gifts were both practical and symbolic. You may think Mary needed diapers, but she wouldn’t know what a diaper is. The Magi were wise and new the perfect gift for someone who was going to fight for justice and transform the world. Perhaps through these gifts we can learn our potential for changing our world.

Pride to the Polls

Pride to the Polls

Join us on Saturday, October 26th, at 2 pm for our Pride Party to the Polls! This event aims to bring the LGBTQIA community and allies together to celebrate our right to vote while supporting each other through this crucial civic duty.

Why It Matters: Many LGBTQIA people, especially transgender individuals, face unique fears and challenges when it comes to voting. Issues like potential harassment, questioning of identity, or even fear of being misgendered can make the voting process intimidating. This event is about reclaiming our power, building solidarity, and ensuring that every voice is heard.

We encourage members of the LGBTQIA community, as well as our supportive allies, to join us in solidarity. We will meet at Bottega Art and Wine, located at 723 North 4th Street, Wilmington, NC 28401, at 2 pm. After enjoying some light refreshments, those who are able-bodied will begin marching at 3 pm with Pride flags and signs of support to the nearest polling location: CFCC - Downtown Campus Health Sciences Building at 415 N 2nd St, Wilmington, NC 28401 (Link to Google Maps).

After voting, the party will resume back at Bottega Art and Wine to celebrate our efforts! Let’s show that our community stands strong and united in making our voices count!
